i finally got up and decided that even though it was rainy out, i would be productive in some way shape or form.
and since tonight we are meeting up with my old friend from college for a double date and IT is her bday and i havent seen her in YEARS.
i said to myself, self…you will make nora a make-up clutch.
hmm but what textile to use?
since i have an abundance of Knolltextiles i went to one called Obi and used scrap dupioni silk for the lining.
half way through i realized that the ribbon leaves i sewed onto the clutch..WHERE TOO FAR APART ( i left my camera upstairs and didnt have the energy to grab it…next time i will capture the near fatal CRAFT FAIL)
ok so i thought…how can i save this??? BUTTONS
- the nora clutch
- Knolltextiles, buttons and ribbon, sweet!
- button/ribbon attempt to save it from craft fail hell
- dupioni silk inside, ohhh and a magnetic snap i saved from an old bag
- the token” i live in a mid-century home” shot
- help i’m trapped- xoxo the clutch
- hi, i was made in 2 hours. *wink*
- packaged up and ready to go. happy birthday nora!
im very happy it wasnt a fail whale . even though i had nothing to wrap it in then i found my stash of mod gift boxes i got @ container store last year on a whimp.
here is hoping that she likes it!!!!
total time spent on this clutch was 2 hours. prep, cutting, pressing, cursing, sewing, pressing and drinking cranberry juice like it was going out of style.
